For future reference, you'll stand more chance of getting an answer to your question if you give your thread a meaningful title.
You apply layer styles to type in exactly the same way you do to shapes:
- Write your text with the Type tool
- Ensure Type layer is active in the Layers palette
- In the Styles palette, click the style you want to apply
