What is happening is that every image file pixel is being displayed by each screen pixel. Your screen is only 1.3 megapixels, by the way, so's mine as are a majority out there. I don't know what you are using to view your images, but you need to ask your system to reduce the image for viewing. This should not effect your original file at all.

On a Windows system, you can simply right click and save the image to your desktop. Then right click the file on the desktop and select Open With. The easiest thing to do is to choose Windows Picture and Fax Viewer to get fast previews without the need to open entire windows or applications.
