Thanks it is the later one and Mike I suspect I had not closed the session with Nero. I was however using an up to date laptop only a few months old and the disk was burned on on older CD writer on my desk comp. It looks as if I shall have to get a copy of Nero to get at the files and pics.
Thanks for your replies. No wonder I chucked Nero away!
