Sorry to jump on this thread so late but there are a number of other tools that perform the 'Morphing' effect...
The effect was more or less first seen in the Michael Jackson video 'Black or White' which effects specialists at the time used a proprietary engine based on the Kai's Power Tools set.... (Kai's Power Goo - Downloadable as standalone or Photoshop plug in's)
The effect became widely imitated and has been available as an add-on and in some cases, a standard effect in suites like Pinnacle, Adobe Premier/After Effects, and others... If i'm not mistaken, Alias even had a morphing engine in early versions of their 3D software....
Whatever software was used... it provides a very interesting way to add interest to still photos...
