Shapes tut in CS2:
Making shapes is quite easy. Figure out how you big you want the shape to be, open up a canvas with that size. use brushes or fonts, cut them, paste them, erase them, until you get a design you like. its easier to work in black when creating a shape. also, make sure all your pixels are cleaned up, you dont want any straying pixels wondering around. merge it all together into one layer. once merged, use your magic wand and highlight your new shape, then go to your paths button, click on the little arrow on the right, and click on make work path. a new layer should show up in your box. now go to your menu bar at the top and go to edit/define custome shape. Click on your shapes tool. and you will see your shape at the bottom. Now make sure to save it. Use your preset manager in your shapes file. And you have a new shape. I hope this helps.
