well to match up the seams, i would probably duplicate the pixels on 1 side of the seam and just paste them onto the other side of the seam to make them lineup

I would just paint each section like as if you are painting on the actual body, and not just a giant texture on top of everything solid like how you have...

PS. clone tool comes in handy as well as the liquify filter...
