How sad I feel for you...
I can just imagine the amount of spyware, adware, and malware you've had to rid yourself of... or worse, don't know is there.
Just the fact that Internet Explorer cannot be removed from my computer is an insult and a clear indicator of it's threatening nature. The fact the most key Windows features cease to operate without a working IE makes me wonder what Gates is really keeping tabs on...
I also hold great respect for my right to choose and not to blindly swallow the built in poorly developed and dangerous piece of MS Bloatware that's full of security exploits and backdoors...
As a developer, I have a great respect for ANY browser that adheres to coding standards.... Firefox is not the only one... alas, Internet Explorer has never been one.
As a person who highly depends on my computer for business and recreation, i refuse to risk downtime because some market research company found a way to exploit IE and track my internet usage or some wannabe hacker read a tutorial on how to blast IE users and bog down their internet connection.
I also greatly value my freedom from Norton Antivirus and the like that hold my machine hostage... something frequent IE users would be insane to do...
Anyone who prefers Internet Explorer does so most likely because it is what they are used to... and they don't like change... even when it's for the better.
Don't even get me started on the coders who make sites "Optimized for Internet Explorer" or worse, "Must Be Viewed With Internet Explorer"....
Considering that Windows Users hold more than 95% of the PC Market making Internet Explorer automatically available to that very same 95%, it tells a story that Internet Explorer holds a rapidly decreasing 78% share of the browser market. Note that firefox is climbing as fast as IE is falling.

We're not trying to woo anyone over to our side, we're just trying to do everyone a favour....
If you don't like firefox now, think of it the next time you spend 6.5 hours cleaning nested spyware and phantom processes out of your registry...
