HDRI assistance requested

Greetings:

I'm not sure exactly where to post this question, so I'm trying a few forums.

I have a question regarding viewing HDRI images. Until recently, my collection was being used primarily for 3D related work. About 2 weeks ago, I had to reformat my HD. Once all was reinstalled, I was once again in need of using my HDR images. However, I'm now unable to preview them. I've tried what I can to open and look over the ones I need, but that isn't happening. I'd like to know what I can do in order to once again have a preview available?

If anybody can offer a solution, I would greatly appreciate any help you are able to provide.

It might help if you told us what application you're using.

You already recovered them or what? Are you missing the images, or are the images incomplete?

And it would indeed also be handy to know what app you're using.

just stabbing in the dark without knowing what programs you are using etc are.. but..
but are all your image viewing programs reinstalled.. perhaps your previews were bought to you by a different installed program than the one you are using to run and edit..
ie is your default program still the same ?

perhaps ypu mean preview as in peeking at the images in thefolder before having to open the image... check your "view" to see if its set for large icons, or medium icons etc. instead of 'details"
