problem with maya

well, normally spoken there are some buttons there where you can select what window/ lay-out and so on. I think you know what I'm talking about right, well that thing is missing.....look at the image, normaly its in the red box

But there isn't anything now.....do you guys know how I should solve this problem?? Because its pretty irritating

Window>Setting/Preferences>Preferences

Select "interface" on the left. On the right CHECK ON, In Panels.

Save.
