Don't know anything about Cinema 4D, but from a graphic design point of view I'd say you need to have more of a contrast between your type and the shape behind it - it's getting a bit lost at the moment.

Also, CD covers are square (unless this is a design for a back inlay).

I'd have to agree with tamlin,

the contrast between your object and the objects are blending too much.

I'm guessing that the orb in the center is the "globe" and the rest is your "funk" coming off the globe?

if so i'd maybe try a more of an abstract version of the globe, maybe add a bumpmap to your globe texture to allow us to see the continents and maybe even the longitude/latitude lines as well, that should help with some detailing...

as for your text, It looks like you are trying some caustics, or something sort of similar effect. It should look good if you darken up the background some. Anyways it's a good start, keep goin on it

I was thinking actually to change globe texture into a disco ball... I’m very new to this program so it's going to take me a while until I figure out how change the texture to disco ball... I agree with you guys I need to change the contras between my forms… I’m going to work on it a little bit more… I will send the final draft… thank you

what about just fracturing the globe faces (use explosion to separate them, play with the settings) and adding a mirror material to the main globe, that way you'll probably get disco ball, with the right settings. If i get the time i'll try and reproduce it and show what i mean =)

anyway, good design, funky =P but think you should use a bit more colour and contrast between the typing and the globe.

keep up =)

Don't know if it's just the image posted here or not, but the quality of the render looks low. I would mess with the render settings. Also, without a blue ground plane to reflect off of, or a blue light source, the blue shadow is not natural and looks bizarre. I'm not familiar with your software, but there is a start.
