Looking for a Football Helmet

I am the coach of a Pop Warner team and I am working on a video to give to my the kids at the end of the season. I am good with After Effects, Photoshop, and Adobe Premiere. I just started working with Cinema 4D and I am looking for either a tutorial, or a model of a football helmet (Raiders if you have it). Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks in advance!

I found a tutorial but it's showing how to make a cowboy hat. It might help you with ideas though. Illustrator also has 3D capabilities. For example, I wrote a tutorial on a 3D Pill. It may give you some ideas as well. Good luck!

I have access to a computer with Maya on it, so that would work. I am trying out different things on my own. ANY help would be greatly appreciated and I would pass on credit via the video for any help.

I have done your Pill tutorial (liked it very much, thanks!) I am following the cowboy hat tutorial now. Thanks for your help!

Lightbulb

well, i can give you a basic shape or the whole shape if you like....it's for me not that hard to do

o and what i said about that faces thing....this is what you should do:

1.First create a sphere ,this will be the basic, then make a second sphere a bit smaller then the first one. Put it inside the other sphere(just move it to the center) and then andd a cube, the meaning is that this cube will cover the parts that you want to be gone so make a cube as width as the opening in the front should be. This cube also need to come out in front of the sphere like it must cover the whole part you want to be deleted in the front. Then you must 3.make a cilinder that tou put at the bottom of the sphere but just as far in it that it sticks out at the bottom and it's top must be in the second sphere you made....it also should be just as witdh as the cube you made and should be placed at the half of the cube(so it looks like a cube widt on round side).

2.Then you select al these objects except the big sphere(base), you go in your toolbar in hte upper part of your screen to the polygon tab and press combine. If that's done your not far away from the basic shape, just deselect the combined thing you made. And select first the big sphere and second the combined parts. Then go in your menu bar (file, window that bar) go to polygon and then click the boolean>intersect. now you should have your basic shape you see.

3.then you can make two cilinders to make holes in the ear parts of the helmet, and you can add cilinders and rings(i forgot the name) to make the thing in front of it. after that you must make a good texture and render it....

i will make a usefull tuturial out of this in a few days i will post a link here.

hmm, about the helmet...
the tuturial would be really long so, i will post the link when ready.
And i will also post a link to the object(.asci) can be used in maya.....so you can texture it yourself

the tut above may have some problems 1.bolean intersect must be difference
2.maybe the boolean crashes and the object disapears....

Im having a go at the helmet and i think i can finish it saturday...so then the maya ascii file will be ready for downloading
