Hi amlan. Sounds like a an ambitious project, it could be pretty hard to do though. I think you'd probably have to use Partical Array or Combustion to make the tornado, its a difficult effect to achieve. As for the buildings smashing up you could Partical Array again for that. Its probs the easiest way to achieve that sort of effect in max. Sorry I haven't been much of a help, if you search 'PArray' you sould get some better answers.

Hia yeah it is indeed an ambisiouse project...

For the building i would build it. Cutting it up and shaping the objects and polys to the way i would want it to disintigrate.

Oh and btw this would be a hard one to do anyway.

One idea would be to use reactor to create the force of the tornado... And it would animate the brake up of the building.

Sorry this is scety stuff you would have to do alot of reading of the help files and tutorials... Im new to reactor myself. Only just knowing hwo to setup good explosions with it. With all the fragments interacting well... Ill show a vid later.

Erm the tornado you could use particles. In fact almost any type... Make a tight helix. And use the conform modifier [theres 2 and i cant remeber witch one you need so try both] And make another spline.

The first spline is the twurl of the tornadow... The second would be the shape of the collum. The conform modifer would make the helix conform to the straght spline coming down from the sky. So make it a little wiggly....

For the tornadows particles you could use the helix to have the particles flow down it as a path...

Im really sorry i cant be more clearer its late and my head hurts. But there are pointer there you can look into. Beleave me this wont be easy and youll need to do alot of work to get it going. At least half a week.

Good luck
