I just got 3D Studio Max 6!

I want to learn to use it, its so confusing now, where should I start?

3d modellers seem to intimiate people when they first get them. Just get used to making pheres and shapes, and getting used to editing the shapes polygons. Start off learning really easy stuff. I would also use the user manual. Once you have got enough skill by using the user manual you should be fine to try out more complex tutorials found scattered across the internet.

Also remember to show off any thing you have made on these forums. This means i shall be willing to give you guidance.

I don't like learning bits and pieces all over the net, but yeta full course out of a book. Unfortunately I have not found a 3DSM6 book that I trust.

I can usually learn off of tutorials or just looking at an image. I'm not really a book person lol.

I just found a free class I am going to take hosted by a certified college professor at 3D University. It uses video/audio traning videos and then you have to take tests and quizzes to see if you understand after the class ends.

www.3DBuzz.com any of you can sign up. Pretty decent site.

you could take a look at amazon, or at www.simplymax.com
i found a good book for a other program(maya) at amazon and at simplymax you can make your own dvd(at a price).
