Well, all of my fonts are freeware and came with a read-me file mentioning that if I were to redistribute them, that the read-me file must accompany the font file, and no changes were to be made to the font or read-me file. Yes, not all fonts have this read-me file, but most do have something indicating who is the original creator.
Some of my fonts came from dafont.com, and came with that same type of read-me file I mentioned above.
Here's a statement from the site about the fonts available for download:
"The fonts presented on this website are their authors' property, and are either freeware, shareware, demo versions or public domain. The licence mentioned above the download button is just an indication. Please look at the readme-files in the zips or check the indicated author's website for details, and contact him if in doubt. If no author/licence is indicated that's because we don't have information, that doesn't mean it's free."
Thanks again for the heads up though, it's appreciated.
