You should definately be using a vector program for a printed catalog... If you have InDesign, it's great for creating page layouts, but you'd need a printer's flat template for the type of brochure you are creating...

For example the cover leaf would be folded around the inner pages, meaning that Panel 1 would be the Back Cover, Panel 2 would be the front cover and the reverse side, Panel 3 would be Inside front Cover and Panel 4 would be Inside Rear Cover....

the next leaf would sit inside of that, meaning Panel 1 is page 1 of the brochure, Panel 2 would then be page 64, Panel 3 would be Page 2 and Panel 4 would be page 63.

I hope this makes sense...

I can't even comprehend using photoshop other than to manipulate raster images for the page contents.
