My wife doesn't understand the whole font thing either. I always laugh when she makes some comment like "the font doesn't matter. Just use that one." That's like saying the blood type of the donor doesn't matter! (she works in a hospital). The font is the glue that holds everything together (or the one piece that ruins a perfectly good design).
I only wish I was better at working with what fonts to use when other than the obvious ones.
Glad everyone likes the site. I only wish I knew how to build something like that myself.
