Use the [img][/img] tags for inserting pictures. Make sure that the forum you're posting in allows for the IMG code though (see Posting Rules box at the bottom of the page). Another thing to remember is that most full featured message boards disable being able to post non-static images (i.e. domain.com/image.cgi?user=person, or something like it.) They basically just check to see that the end of the image name is a valid extension, usually jpg, gif, and png will work, unless the admin has added/removed some.
