8. Select the layer with metal
(Layer 1). Using the
Lasso tool create a cutten selection as it's shown on the followeing image.
9. Select > Inverse. Open the
quick mask mode (Q).
Filter > Brush Strokes > Spatter : Spray Radius - 10, Smoothness - 5.
10. Quit the
quick mask mode by pressing
Q. Press "Delete" and add some shadow in
Blending options > Drop Shadow.
Add some reflections and lighten up the image with
Dodge tool and вуаля - your bullet hole is ready.
U can make metal texture like this very simple. Watch it:
1. New image 600x600 pixels, 72 dpi
2. Fill the image with grey color.
3. Filter > Noise > Add Noise
4. Filter > Blur > Motion Blur
