redhat problem
i got redhat 9 the other day.
got a huge problem:
when i was trying to install i was constantly getting signal 11 errors. i still cant install but i got rid of those problems. The current problem i face comes up with this stupid bit of code:
//
last traceback
FILE /USR/BIN/ANACONDA LINE 675
ID = INSTCLASS.INSTALLDATACLASS (EXTRAMODULES, FLOPPY DEVICE, CONFIGFILEDATA, METHOD)
//
I then came to the conclusion that it was my floppy that was causing the problem. i tried all different linux boot commands such as NOPROBE but nothing worked. I then removed my floppy from the pc but still no good, i also swapped the leads around moving my floppy into the second floppy proirity. This problem is really annoying me. I also have a few more problems after this but i want to deal with these first.
i also want to know if you actaully need a floppy drive to use linux installation. i also tried text mode installation. Could also some one else mention a different installation method as this might be the problem.
thank you if you can help.
