I'd say that actually looks pretty good for a scanned negative.
Do you have an attachment for your scanner for negatives or did you just scan it normally? Either way, those are acceptable results. Further color correction can be done in Photoshop and there are tutorials all over that'll show you how.
One suggestion: you should scan at the highest resolution your scanner allows. Start with them as big as possible - you can always make them smaller without worrying too much about loss of quality, but re-sizing them larger, afterwards, will result in blurry, blocky pixels.
