Aperture, Apple's rival to Adobe's Bridge, has been released. Retailing at $499, Aperture has been advertised as the complete post-shoot workshop for the professional photographer. Apparently, Apple has claimed Aperture is NOT a competitor to Bridge, but because they are both aimed at the same segment, the general view is to the contrary. For all the hype, the Creative Suite 2 still leaves a lot missing in terms of support for the RAW format. It remains to be seen whether Apple can live up to it's OWN hype.
