Leave the sheen on the top but remove the yellow by using a black brush set to 'color' and go over all the reflections (to remove the color). Then use the dropper and select the closest black to the area you want to change and set the brush to 'darken' about 80%. I'd only darken the front where the floor/wood/wall reflection is.
