In their continuing quest to become the ultimate portal, Google today unveiled a new feature entitled
MyGoogle!
Whilst still in beta (like most of Google's actively developed services), MyGoogle integrates usual search functionality into a single page also loaded with the latest news (from sources such as Wired, Slashdot, BBC, etc), stock market updates, your Gmail inbox, the weather, and even movies in your area. All information shown is infinately customizable by simply dragging the sections around - and you can even modify how many posts it displays per column if that is your wish. According to Google, RSS support will be added in the next few months too, so you'll be able to add your own news feeds.
Sounds pretty good, huh? Of course, you can guarantee that as soon as the RSS feed system is unveiled, we'll have a compatible RSS system to go with it... :-)
