Hurrah, my new PC is finally all built and working like a charm! I can't say it was very easy, though, as even when I had all the right components, WinXP decided it didn't like things and took to crashing. It took over a week to sort out before I narrowed it down to a faulty driver! I still don't have SLi working at 100% reliability, but at least my machine doesn't crash anymore, even when overclocked by 15%... which ain't bad really!
Anyway, you'll all be glad to know that a working PC means that I have several new tutorials ready for you all! Opening up the new
Adobe Illustrator tutorials section,
TVPR has written an
Introduction to Illustrator. Covering the basics of the pen tool and other Illustrator goodies, this is an excellent way to get started in Adobe's complex vector-illustration program. Not wanting to be outdone,
Scrowler has also stepped forward with the first ASP coding tutorial on making
A Simple Quiz Script. I can't say that I understand ASP at all, but this walkthrough helps quite a lot! Oh, and finally,
Bana has translated the
Inset Lines tutorial Photoshop tutorial into French. PHEW - it was quite heavy-going uploading that many tutorials to Biorust... so I'm gonna sit down and have a rest now. Catch you all later!
PS. If you are in the mood for a bit of photography or photo-manipulation, check out this thread (March Photo/Photo Manipulation Assignment.) in the forums for cool competitions on the very same thing! Be careful though... I may enter the latter one myself... ;-)
