Doesn't say anything about it, but I think the image is supposed to be flat, with no effects on it. If your going to duplicate the tutorial image, type your text, add the chrome style, then add a new, blank layer below your text layer, select your text layer and CTRL+E. THEN duplicate, flip, distort, and blur as per the tutorial. I believe Mog didn't mention anything about creating the inital image so some people wouldn't think it would only work from those settings. The idea is that you can use it on any image you can come up with, such as this. (Sorry for the bad pic. Just spent 5 min on it.)
